There's a new foldable available in the UK today and it could finally offer a big reason to join the bendable revolution. The latest Galaxy Z Fold7 now features an improved rear camera, a faster Qualcomm processor and a more useful front screen that's finally wider and feels much more like a standard smartphone. There's also some clever AI baked in, decent battery life and fast charging should things run flat.
These are all useful upgrades, but what really gives this latest Android call maker the wow factor is its fully updated design.
Foldables have long had an issue of simply being far too thick once the device is snapped together. It's often made them far too cumbersome and very unpleasant to pop in the pocket of those super skinny jeans.
Luckily, that nightmare has now been fixed with the Z Fold7 measuring in at almost the same size as the S25 Ultra once folded. Open things up and the design looks even more mind-blowing with the Fold measuring in at just over 4mm thick.
As you can read in our full Galaxy Z Fold7 review, we are big fans of this latest device and now there's another reason to consider it.
This foldable has just been put through its paces by phone-busting expert and it has passed his excruciating bend tests with flying colours.
Despite the famous YouTuber doing everything in his power to snap the Z Fold7 in two, it stayed strong and even continued to be fully operational. Even after multiple attempts, this device just would not break.
"It flexes backwards for sure, but that's it," JerryRigEverything confirmed
"No cracks in the screen, no pops of the hinge. It still folds closed and remains 100 percent functional and intact.
"Literal black magic."
The only area where Jerry and his set of phone torture tools did find some issues was with the main 8-inch screen, which, due to its ability to bend, does scratch more easily than solid glass.
Samsung is currently offering three months of Accidental Damage cover, and the firm will even let you try the device for 100 days - if you don't like it you simply send it back and get a refund.
There's no question that the Z Fold7 is a device to consider if you are due for an upgrade.
The only thing that might put you off is the price.
Things start from a whopping £1,799. Ouch!
