Union Health Minister JP Nadda spoke in Patna, the capital of Bihar.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda on Friday (October 31, 2025) said that the Bihar assembly elections are a fight between the dark era of jungle raj of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the development era of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.

Addressing an election rally in Bikram, Patna, the capital of Bihar, BJP President J.P. Nadda said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar has progressed rapidly on the path of development, and we must safeguard this path. He said, "The NDA's election manifesto guarantees 10 million government jobs and other employment opportunities. If the alliance comes to power again, new doors of employment will open for the youth of Bihar."

He further said, "The manifesto also proposes to rename the Prime Minister's Kisan Samman Nidhi for farmers as the Karpoori Thakur Samman Nidhi, under which farmers will receive a total of ₹9,000 in three equal installments throughout the year. Previously, farmers were given three installments of ₹2,000.

Union Health Minister targeted the RJD.

Taking aim at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Nadda said, "RJD means extortion, jungle raj, and bullying." He said that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav raises the issue of migration in Bihar, whereas his father, Lalu Prasad, himself used to say that Biharis go out wearing a towel and return in a suit and tie.

He said, "There was a time when the sound of generators echoed through Bihar's villages and cities, but today electricity has reached every home. Today, every village has internet, allowing Bihar's content creators and influencers to make their mark in the digital world."

More than 5 crore Biharis have benefited from the Ayushman Bharat scheme: Nadda.

Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda said, "The Nitish Kumar-led government has provided financial assistance of 10,000 rupees to 7.5 million women. If the NDA is re-elected, each woman will be given 2 lakh rupees to make them self-reliant." He added that under the central government's Ayushman Bharat scheme, 62 crore people in the country, including more than 5 crore Biharis, are being provided health insurance coverage of up to 5 lakh rupees.

200 crore rupees approved for the construction of concrete roads in villages- Nadda

Campaigning in support of Siddharth Saurabh, the candidate from Bihar's Bikram assembly constituency, Nadda said, "He laid the foundation stone of a trauma center and approved the construction of a bridge in Naubatpur, which will ease traffic congestion. Rs 200 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of concrete roads in villages." BJP spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that Nadda's scheduled public meeting in Buxar district had to be cancelled due to rain and bad weather.
