MHADA Konkan Lottery Sees High Demand: 9 Applicants For Every Flat

Mumbai: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority’s (MHADA) Konkan Board has received an overwhelming response for its 2025 housing lottery. As of 6 PM on August 7th , nearly 47761 applications have been submitted for 5,285 flats and 77 residential plots offered under various schemes in Thane, Vasai (Palghar), Sindhudurg, and Kulgaon-Badlapur. Of these, 26,163 applicants have already paid the earnest money deposit (EMD)—a key step toward eligibility.

Meaning, about nine applicants are competing for each flat in the Konkan Board lottery showcasing considerable demand for MHADA houses as they fall in affordable category. Houses are offered in price range starting from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 52 lakh respectively in areas of Thane, Mira Road, Gansoli whereas prices of real estate is in crores.

As last date of application is August 13th the number of final applications is expected to increase further.

The Provisional List of Eligible Applicants will be out on August 21. Whereas Objection/Claim Period is Until August 25 and Final List Publication is September 1, 2025 and Lottery Draw Date is September 3, 2025 at 10 AM at Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar Auditorium, Thane.
